Enjoy Football, Hot Dogs and Tailgating Friday Night at Trenton Schools Fundraiser

You can also watch your kids be mesmerized by 'Magician Mike' at the Trenton Village Theatre or enjoy a spooky wagon ride in Grosse Ile this weekend.

Trenton Educational Foundation Tailgate Party
There's no better way to spend a fall Friday night than at a Trenton football game, and this week's home game against Lincoln Park will be extra special. The Trenton Educational Foundation's Tailgate Party will feature a pep rally led by the varsity cheerleading squad and a performance by the Trenton High School marching band.
The pre-game TEF Tailgate dinner will offer juicy hotdogs, grilled burgers, chips, and a variety of drinks. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds benefit the students of Trenton Public Schools. Tickets for the TEF Tailgate party will be limited to 300 and are best purchased in advance at the Trenton Public School Board office, 2601 Charlton Road. If tickets are still available on Friday, they can be purchased at the event for $7.

Magic Show with Magician Mike
In the mood for some family fun this weekend? Bring the kids to see Magician Mike at the Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The center is located in the Trenton Village Theatre, located at 2447 West Jefferson. The show is a fundraiser for the Youth Performing Arts Center and tickets available at the door or at www.dypac.com. Ticket prices are $10 for children and seniors, $12 for adults and $15 for preferred seating.

Halloween Hayrides at Westcroft Gardens
In the mood for something spooky this weekend? Hop on a "Phantom Forest" hayride at Westcroft Gardens in Grosse Ile. Hayrides take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 27 starting at 7 p.m. It is designed to be fun for all ages, and not TOO scary for the little ones. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children 5 and under. Price includes a drink and snack by the bonfire. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

2013 WBA 3rd Friday - Fall Festival
A chill is in the air, and pumpkins and hay stacks have taken over downtown Wyandotte. "Fall Festival" is the theme of the October Third Friday event put on by the Wyandotte Business Association. Festivities include live performances from That 80's Band, food vendors, beer for sale street-side, late-night shopping with store specials and raffles, the annual Chili Cook Off and a kids coloring contest. The event is free to attend and starts at 5 p.m. on Friday.

Pink Parasol Party
If you could help a working woman without insurance to obtain a free mammogram possibly to save her life, would you? Join the Women of Wyandotte at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the VFW Hall at 663 Ford in Wyandotte. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner, dancing, beer and wine and a photo booth. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple and all proceeds benefit the Yes Ma'am Program at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, which provides free mammograms for working uninsured women in the Downriver area.
