Trenton Public Schools 

The Trenton School Board meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room, 2603 Charlton Rd.

City Council Meeting  

Due to inclement weather, the city's regular city council meeting was rescheduled for Jan. 13, 8 p.m. at city hall, 2800 Third St.

A quarterly budget session is scheduled for Tuesday. Jan. 14, 7:30 p.m. at city hall. The city's 2013-14 budget summary is available here.  

City Award's Banquet

The City of Trenton will be hosting its annual awards ceremony Jan. 18, 6 p.m. at the Grosse Ile Golf and County Club to honor citizens and municipal employees.

The Trenton Civic Commission recognizes outstanding citizens for their contribution to our community. A variety of award categories are available.

Chili Carnival  

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW is hosting the second annual Chili Cook-Off Saturday, Jan. 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. at 2763 Veterans Pkwy.

The event is limited to 15 entries. To participate, sign up at the post bar. There is a $6 fee for tasting.
