Sorry, it's should be between $0.15 and $0.16 per thousand. Yes, my error and a rounding situation. The state's tax rate for 2011-12 was $0.1574 and for 2012-13 it is $0.1551, for a -1.5% change from last year. To better illustrate the decrease in the chart that only has two decimals I put $0.15 for 2012-13. Thanks for the catch!

On the article Breaking: Police Officer Suspension Upheld by Police and Fire Commission

ReplyThanks for these comments. Brett, I just wanted you to know that I believe the Chief had no choice but to release the Statement of Charges once they were requested under the state's Open Records law. My educated guess would be that he really didn't want this story written either but had to comply with the law since it was headed to the commission. I did want — and still do want — to get Officer Mork's side of the story. The police union's attorney said he advised her not to comment and that he didn't want to comment until the commission holds its evidentiary hearing. Thanks again for sharing your take though, I appreciate it.

Great point, Scott. It appears the editor uploaded one image and Patch users uploaded the rest, given our open platform. I've seen this happen on other political stories.

Strange. Dick, I did not delete any comments and didn't see any posted that were later deleted. Fyi only. Hope there's not something wrong with the CMS, thanks.
