Name: Katherine Boucher Accomplishment: The consistent straight-A student at Boyd W. Arthurs Middle School scored all 1s at the district’s Solo and Ensemble competition on January 29. The Trenton eighth-grader smoothly performed a saxophone solo entitled “Allegretto Brillante” by J. Demersseman and scored a 1 (the highest honor given) at the competition. Boucher and schoolmate Hailey Chenavare combined for a duet at the competition and also received a 1. Key to Awesomeness: Boucher is a budding young musician who is not satisfied with mastering only one instrument.
