Alleged Copper Thief Arrested in Vacant House in Trenton

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police arrested a man after finding him in the basement of a vacant house allegedly stealing copper pipping at about 6 a.m. Nov. 24 in the 5000 block of Montfaucon Street. Lance Michael Waske, 27, was arraigned Nov. 25 before an out county judge and his bond was set at $2,500 cash. He is charged with breaking and entering, which is a 10-year felony. He is being charged as a habitual offender due to a prior felony conviction. Trenton police officers were checking on the vacant house several times throughout the night due to recent break-ins in the area when one officer noticed a basement light on and an opened side gate. Police Find Body Believed to be Missing Trenton Teen

Although efforts to positively identify the body were unsuccessful at this time, police believe it to be Nathan Alan Tracy of Trenton.

A body found at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept., 8 in Pittsfield Township is believed to be that of a Trenton teen who was reported missing after a hit and run crash, according to police. Police said a maintenance worker from a nearby condominium complex, Weatherstone Condos, found the deceased body of a male believed to be 19-year-old Nathan Alan Tracy. The body was found in a retention pond located near the entrance of the Weatherstone complex, according to a release from the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety. Pittsfield police were called and responded to recover the body and investigate the scene.
