Trenton police arrested Terrance Whaley II at about 8:40 p.m. Jan. 4 near Fort Street and King Road after searching for the man since December 2012. Whaley, 18, of Trenton, allegedly broke into a family member's house on Oct. 20 and Nov. 5 of 2012. Trenton police Sgt. Sgt. Mark Enright said Whaley might also be in possession of stolen property. Police arrested Whaley after a traffic stop. An officer pulled over the Dodge Caravan Whaley was driving in after noticing the van did not have a license plate light to illuminate the registration plate, according to a Trenton police report. Trenton police are stepping up the search for a man who they believe to be responsible for at least two home invasions Police believe former Trenton High School student Terrance Whaley II, 18, broke into a family member's house on Oct. 20 and Nov. 5. Sgt. Mark Enright said Whaley might also be in possession of stolen property. Enright released a photo of Whaley to Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch Friday.
