28th Annual Somewhere in Time Promises Old-Timey Fun, Delicious Downriver Cuisine

Somewhere in Time takes Elizabeth Park back to the early 1900s this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Geeze, Louise! Oh, my stars! The early 1900s hopped into a Ford Model-T time machine and are headed straight for Elizabeth Park! The 28th annual Somewhere in Time event is set to transform Elizabeth Park into a picturesque version of the early 1900s, complete with old-fashioned automobiles and a riverboat ride. The trip down memory lasts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and there's a number of exciting and nostalgic events planned for the day: “Somewhere in Time is a unique event designed to recapture history, as well as, the rich heritage and beauty of the first Wayne County park, Elizabeth Park,” said Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano in a release. Somewhere in Time Festival Fun Schedule

Here's a schedule of all the fun planned for the Somewhere In Time and Taste of Trenton and Beyond festivals at Elizabeth Park in Trenton.

The landscape of Elizabeth Park will be transformed into a scene out of the early 20th century today, and the day is packed with exciting things to do. Here's today's schedule for the Somewhere In Time and Taste of Trenton and Beyond festivals beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. at Elizabeth Park. For the kids (Children's Entertainment Center): Main stage: Taste of Trenton and Beyond Festival: Occurring from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a designated tent. One-man band Terry Stevenson will play for the duration of the event. Tickets are available on-site and can be redeemed for food from local restaurants. Enjoy Life In the Early 1900s at Somewhere In Time

The 27th annual Somewhere In Time and Taste of Trenton and Beyond festivals take over Elizabeth Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 18.

This Sunday visitors at Elizabeth Park are sure to be whisked back to a simpler time when gasoline-powered automobiles first became popular, men wore suits to work and newspaper ink could be found on the fingertips of many Trenton residents. The 27th annual Somewhere In Time Festival is fueled up and ready to motor into Trenton. On Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. thousands of people from all over Michigan will descend on the park to get a feel of life in the early 1900s. Elizabeth Park was the first Wayne County Park and visitors will recapture a bygone era in local history, according to a release from the Trenton Parks and Recreation Department.
