Detroit Red Wings Announce 2013 Schedule

Hockey season is finally here, but Trenton-area fans are split on whether or not they'll be going to a game this season.

With the NHL lockout officially over, the Detroit Red Wings have announced their 2013 schedule. The Wings will play 48 games in 99 days as Detroit looks to extend its 21-season playoff streak, the longest current streak in professional sports. Tickets to all 24 of the Red Wings’ 2013 home games are set to go on sale this coming Thursday, Jan. 17, beginning at 1 p.m. Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch Facebook users shared their thoughts of the upcoming short season: Tell us in the comments: Will you pay to go see the Wings this season? Trenton, Grosse Ile Leaf Collection Guide 2012

Leaf collection begins Monday in Trenton and continues through December. Grosse Ile does not have specific leaf collection dates.

Fall leaves are most beautiful when they change color and swing in the wind. But, after they fall from the trees they quickly change from awe-inspiring forces of nature to colorful messes in the yard. Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch knows you want to keep your yard clean and to help you do that, we've put together a leaf collection guide for Trenton and Grosse Ile. Grosse Ile does not have specific leaf collection dates. Instead, residents are asked to bag their leaves and put them at the curb on their regularly scheduled waste pickup days. Yard waste removal ends the week of December 10-14. Trenton residents have specific leaf collection dates in three different sections of the city. Full Weekend Schedule for Roar on the River at Elizabeth Park

Roar on the River takes over Elizabeth Park all weekend from noon Friday to 6 p.m. Sunday. Here's a schedule for Friday, July 19.

PNC's Roar on the River kicks off with a bang on Friday and continues all weekend long at Elizabeth Park. The excitement gets going at noon Friday and doesn't even begin to slow down until 6 p.m. Sunday. There's plenty of entertainment and activities throughout the weekend.
