What are other ways to recycle old computer parts if you missed the Scrap Tire and Electronics Collection at the Kennedy Ice Arena?
If you have a friend or family member who works on computers for a living, chances are they have quite a collection of spare parts of their own. After a few years, a lot of that hardware can become obsolete and no one would really require the parts for repairs anymore. I know this from experience. As a computer hobbyist and technician for many years, it's easy to accumulate a room dedicated to old computer equipment. It can be difficult to get rid of the clutter in a town that doesn't have a recycling program for electronics or any local companies that offer recycling for old computers without a fee. Residents can call for a special pick-up for trees and temporarily use their yard waste receptacles for household trash.
After all the bulbs are put back in their boxes and the lights are wrapped up nicely and stored for next year, the last decoration to put away is the tree. For a fake tree it's no problem, however those who prefer the real thing need to know what to do with the tree when the holidays are over. The city has made getting rid of that old Christmas tree as easy as one, two, tree. According to Frank Weber, city sanitation supervisor, Christmas trees won't be picked up during regular trash collection. Weber invited residents to call and make arrangements for a special pick-up.
