The body of Trenton teen Nathan Alan Tracy, 19, who was reported missing after a hit and run crash, was found on Sept. 8, 2012 in Pittsfield Township.
Trenton teen Nathan Alan Tracy's death was ruled an accident Wednesday by the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's Office, according to a release from the Pittsfield Township Police Department. The medical examiner determined Tracy's cause of death to be an accidental drowning. Tracy was 19 years old. "After a thorough investigation and a review by the prosecutor's office, the case has been closed, according to the release. Tracy was reported missing after a hit and run crash. Nathan Alan Tracy was reported missing on Sept. 5 after he was allegedly involved in a car accident and was found dead three days later.
The cause of death of the Trenton teen who was reported missing on Sept. 5 was still unknown Friday morning, according to Pittsfield Township police. Police said they are expecting the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner to come to a conclusion on cause of death next week. Police confirmed the body found at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept., 8 in Pittsfield Township was that of Nathan Alan Tracy, 19, who was reported missing after a hit and run crash. Family members who had not heard from Tracy since prior to the crash reported him missing. Funeral services for Tracy were held on Sept. 14 at Faith United Methodist Church.

Although efforts to positively identify the body were unsuccessful at this time, police believe it to be Nathan Alan Tracy of Trenton.
A body found at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept., 8 in Pittsfield Township is believed to be that of a Trenton teen who was reported missing after a hit and run crash, according to police. Police said a maintenance worker from a nearby condominium complex, Weatherstone Condos, found the deceased body of a male believed to be 19-year-old Nathan Alan Tracy. The body was found in a retention pond located near the entrance of the Weatherstone complex, according to a release from the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety. Pittsfield police were called and responded to recover the body and investigate the scene.
