Trenton Police to Share Gun Range With Flat Rock
Since 2008, several police agencies including federal, state and local departments have utilized the range without signed agreements, according to Trenton Police Chief Jim Nardone.
The Trenton and Flat Rock police departments have entered into an inter-local agreement for the use of the Trenton Police Department firearms range, 1401 West Road, in Trenton. Since the Paul Teifer Firearms Range opened in 2008 several police agencies including federal, state and local departments have utilized the range without signed agreements. Before this week, the Grosse Ile Police Department was the only other agency with an inter-local agreement with Trenton. Trenton Police Chief Jim Nardone said recent damage to the gun range caused by an unknown department prompted him to begin creating inter-local agreements with other agencies, so visits to the range can be documented.
