The Trenton Baseball Association have invested over $50,000 into field renovations at various city baseball fields since 2005.
Trenton officials voted in favor of waiving the annual fee for 2013 of $3,000 for the Trenton Baseball Association Monday. Association President Rick Tanguay requested the fee be waived after citing several projects performed and paid for by the TBA dating back to 2005. Trenton fire fighters responded to two calls Thursday about brush fires at Lions Park in Trenton.
The Trenton Fire Department was called to Lions Park twice Thursday afternoon to put out brush fires, according to reports from the TFD. Trenton firefighters responded to a call about a fire involving about a half-acre of grass at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Lions Park. The Brownstown Fire Department was also called for aid in putting out the fire. The first fire took about two hours to control and firefighters left the scene at about 5:30 p.m. Trenton firefighters were then called back to Lions Park, this time without the aid of Brownstown, at about 6:45 p.m. to investigate smoldering brush.
