The position became available after former Trenton assistant City Engineer Kelly Fedele left the position.
Trenton officials have temporarily lifted the hiring freeze once again in search of an assistant city engineer, a secretary at the Waste Water Treatment Plant and a Transfer Station attendant. Officials began seeking approval from council members to back fill the three positions after they recently became available. Approval to back fill the positions was granted at a special meeting Monday night at Trenton City Hall. City Administrator Jim Wagner said the secretary and attendant positions would likely be filled by part-time employees and is currently seeking an experienced, educated person to take over as assistant city engineer. The Trenton Police Department is hiring three new officers, which will save the city money in overtime costs, according to Councilperson Bill LeFever.
Have gun? Willling to travel to Trenton? Officials at the Trenton Police Department are looking to fill three patrol positions recently approved by city council members Monday at Trenton City Hall. Though the city has been on a hiring freeze since February, Trenton administrators requested the freeze be lifted to hire two police officers, an assistant engineer and a part-time clerical position at the Waste Water Treatment Plant and to provide a promotion in the Department of Public Works. Councilman Bill LeFever made a motion to increase the number of officer positions from two to three because the additional officer would reduce the number of overtime hours currently being used. Chrysler Group LLC attributes their best June sales in five years to a number of different successes including a substantial increase in FIAT sales.
So often a success for Chrysler is, in turn, a success for Trenton with the Trenton Engine Plant pumping out Petastar engines for a number of Chrysler vehicles. Sales are up 20 percent for Chrysler Group LLC across the board including the best June sales in five years, according to a Chrysler release. Chrysler Group LLC announced the automotive company is looking to hire five people to work in Trenton for a few different manufacturing positions.
