Dog Days of Summer: Show Off Your Pooch

Upload a photo of your pooch in honor of Dog Days of Summer Swim at the Trenton Aquatic Center this Saturday.

The opportunity to let your four-legged friend swim in a pool designed for an entire community of humans only comes around once a year -- so celebrate it! Upload a photo of your dog in honor of Dog Days of Summer Swim at the Trenton Aquatic Center. Dogs Days of Summer Swim runs from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. You can upload a photo of your dog splashing and playing in the pool, going for a walk or just hanging back at home. All pooch pics are welcome. Photos can be uploaded anytime by clicking "Upload Photos and Videos" located in the top left corner of the featured picture. Photos submitted by Sunday night will be featured in the Monday newsletter. We want to see your pooch! So, start uploading today!

Trenton Aquatic Center Going to the Dogs

Dogs Days of Summer Swim is back at the Trenton Aquatic Center on Saturday.

The summer heat has all but gone and the Trenton Aquatic Center is nothing more than a giant puddle collecting rain, so why not let it go to the dogs? Grab your pooch and head down to the Trenton community pool to let old Fido frolic in the cool waves at Dog Days of Summer from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Dogs and owners alike can participate in contests and enjoy pet-friendly vendors beginning at 11 a.m. Contests include: A pre-registration form can be found in the photo section of this article or you can register on-site the day of the event. Owners must provide dog license and proof of rabies and bordetella vaccinations, and be prepared for clean-up duty. The cost is $5 for a dog and a handler and $5 for each spectator.
