City Officials Allocate $70K to Trenton Historical Preservation
Trenton received $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant funding from Wayne County for 2013-14.
The Trenton Historical Museum could be back to its former glory sooner than expected. Trenton Historical Preservation received $70,000 Monday after council members voted in favor of allocating a large portion of the 2013-14 Wayne County Community Development Block Grant for the purpose of fixing up the aging museum. Councilperson Timber Baun-Crooks said she liked where the money is heading. "It's going to preserve a great history of Trenton and I am so relieved that they're going to use their money toward that (museum)," Baun-Crooks said.
