A new business in Downtown Trenton gives customers a unique chance to bond with man's best friend.
Colleen Medere, 48, of Woodhaven began grooming her dogs herself as a way to save money and it, eventually, turned into a hobby. After spending years grooming her two dogs, a Great Dane mix and a Boxer mix, Medere decided to turn her hobby into Trenton's first self-wash and full-service pet grooming salon when she purchased a vacant 100-year-old house in Downtown Trenton and opened Bubble Puppy on Feb. 13. "I decided to go all in," Medere said. Bubble Puppy, 2505 W. Jefferson Ave., allows pet owners to wash their dogs using a large grooming station. The grooming station has the capability to spray water, set to just the right temperature, shampoo and conditioner. There's also a high-powered blower and towels to finish the job. Medere said …
