Trenton Grad Nationally Recognized for Woodworking Project

The Community Craftsman Award program created by Minwax awards those who improve their communities by working with wood.

Trenton High School graduate Andrew Lindsay was named Winner of the Month by Minwax for January 2013. Lindsay "used his impressive woodworking skills to create two striking display cases for" the Trenton Veterans Memorial Library, according to a Minwax release. Lindsay has been entered into the Community Craftsman Award program. If selected, he could win a cash grant of $5,000, a workshop with wood finishing expert Bruce Johnson and a supply of Minwax products valued at $1,000; a $2,000 cash grant and a supply of Minwax products or a supply of Minwax products. At this point we are picking the 2012 winners," said a spokesperson for Minwax. "Andrew (Lindsay) submitted in 2011 and received the special recognition award."  A photo of Lindsay …

What a talented young man. Let's hope he also wins the Community Craftsman Award and the $5,000 grant. A young man with this much tell it should be rewarded.
