Shriners Honor Westfield Employees

The Downriver Shrine Club honored employees at the Westfield Activities Center.

Memebrs of the Downriver Shrine Club dawned those unmistakable red hats at to honor employees of the .

Lou Jacobs and Jim Akin presented Westfield employees with a plaque at Monday's city council meeting.

"They're the ones that went above and beyond their job to help us in our activities at the Westfield Center," Akin said.

The Shriners have four activities at the Westfield Center. The club has 22 hospitals throughout North America that care for children with severe injuries at no cost to the patients.

Appreciation award presented to the employees of the Westfield Center in recognition for their time and support they have freely given to the Downriver Shrine Club.

The plaque will hang on a wall at the Westfield Activities Center.
