Trenton's Anthony Bass to Hold Pitching Camp at Wayne State University

Trenton Trojan turned San Diego Padre Anthony Bass is coming back to Michigan to hold a pitching camp at Wayne State University open to all children in grades three through twelve.

Trenton High School graduate and Major League Baseball star Anthony Bass is making his way back to Michigan this month to coach young players.

The former Trojan is set to host Wayne State University's inaugural Anthony Bass Pitching Camp.

Bass once pitched for the Trojans and the Warriors. He's now a pitcher for the San Diego Padres with a 3.72 ERA and 104 strike outs through 145 innings pitched at the big league level, according to Wayne State Athletics.

The camp is set for Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Some of the camp benefits include, according to the Wayne State University athletics website:

  • Learn development skills from MLB pitcher Anthony Bass
  • Fundamental station and drill work
  • Work with Bass and staff of WSU athletes and coaches
  • Autograph session with WSU Alumni Anthony Bass

Registration is required for the $65 camp. All children from third grade through twelfth grade are invited to the camp. The registration deadline is Jan. 21.

Register online, in person or by mail for the first Anthony Bass pitching camp by visiting the Wayne State University pitching camps website. Print a copy of the registration form found in the photo section of this article.
