Tennis Canceled, Restrictions Set on Practices at Trenton Public Schools Due to Heat

Football players at Trenton Public Schools are not to wear pads or helmets during practice today.

Trenton High School tennis was canceled for Wednesday after district officials deemed the courts to be too hot for athletes to use.

The football teams, and other outdoor sports, will have restricted practices, which means athletes are not to wear any helmets or padding during the entire practice and must be allowed a water break every 15 minutes.

The temperature had reached about 90 degrees at the time officials made the changes to extra curricular activities.

Officials also canceled all practices on Tuesday due to excessive heat.

This heat is no joke. What are you doing to make sure your child is safe out there? Share your tips with us!
