Brady, 15, spent five days in a hospital intensive care unit after suffering severe internal injuries last Saturday when a boy allegedly tackled him while he attempted to catch a pass. Nikki stated the boy "speared" Brady in the abdomen with his helmet. Brady was not wearing protective football pads at the time of the injury.

Brady has been in a hospital since the injury occurred. His status continues to fluctuate making it impossible for him to go home.

Brady "has a hematoma on his small intestine and a very 'angry' pancreas that might require surgery," Nikki stated on the page. "High pancreatic levels, extreme pain and  fevers in the 103's are just a few of the terrifying things Brady has endured over the past several days."

Those who liked the page also sent best wishes and prayers to Brady by commenting on the page. Here are a view comments people made to the injured boy:

  • Stace Hinz: I feel for what you and your family are going thru and keep all of you in my positive thoughts & prayers daily. I know all too well how dangerous football can be to our boys. My son was injured during football his senior year of high school, a head injury. It caused him to miss 3 months of school and 7 years later we are still dealing with the trama that he continues to have to deal with due to the injury. I pray everyday that your son has a complete recovery and this won't continue to haunt him the rest of his life. Keep strong and think positively ♥
  • Nikie Zambo: sending love and light
  • Jenni Durham: My prayers r with you; my son is 9 & is getting ready to start football in 2 weeks. I was already scared but this just breaks my heart & scares me to the core! I pray for complete healing!!
  • Brie Bommarito: Praying for a speedy recovery for you Brady:) God's got this and I'm so proud of how brave that you are being! i love you and will see you soon!

Brady was injured at a 7-on-7 football clinic in Saline where athletes play two-hand touch and are not supposed to tackle one another, according to the Facebook page. Players were wearing helmets, but not pads.

Doctors told Nikki they are confident that with time and proper care Brady will have a full recovery and can avoid surgery.

"If you could please pray for Brady's healing, strength (both physically and mentally) and that he will be able to turn the corner today (or very soon) that would be wonderful," Nikki said.
