Will Trenton Be a Schools of Choice District Next Year?

Nearly one year ago Trenton Public Schools became a limited schools of choice district for the first time.

Trenton Board of Education members voted in favor of continuing limited schools of choice for the 2013-14 school year Monday night.

Trenton will allow for limited open enrollment for new kindergarten, sixth and ninth grade students, and siblings of current schools of choice students.

When the decision was made to allow limited open enrollment for the first time in April 2012 the district was to open to 20 kindergartners, 10 first graders and 30 ninth graders living outside Trenton.
