Members of the Trenton Board of Education elected a new president Monday night.
Cristine F. Howe was nominated among board members to serve as president for one year.
At the start of each year a different member of the Trenton School Board is nominated to serve as president.
Michael Hawkins will step down as board president to allow the new president an opportunity to lead the board, according to board bylaws.
Board members also nominated a new vice president, secretary and treasurer.
- Thomas J. Kinney for secretary.
- Wayne G. Sieloff for vice-president.
- Dennis W. Bearden for treasurer.
