Sesame Street Superstar Visits Trenton Preschool

Children at St. Paul Christian Preschool could barely contain their excitement as one of Sesame Street's biggest and most well-known celebrities walked through the door.

Name this celebrity. He's six feet tall with large round eyes and covered in navy blue hair. Give up?

It's Grover, of course!

One of Sesame Street's biggest stars visited St. Paul Christian Preschool last month and children at the school were beside themselves with excitement.

"I can’t wait! I can’t wait! " said 5-year-old Noah, according to a preschool release.

Over 100 students gathered around as Grover took a break from performing in Sesame Street Live to spend an hour with the kids.

Grover visited with the children, posed for pictures, gave high-fives and gave lots of hugs, according to Penny Bayer, preschool director.

St. Paul Preschool was selected for the special guest visit based on its years of continuous support for Sesame Street Live over the last 12 years. In that time, over 400 St. Paul preschoolers and their families have seen the show, according to the release.

"I was so excited for the opportunity to share this with some of our children,” said Bayer. “It was nice to have a big star like Grover here at Preschool.”
