Public Hearing for Trenton Schools to Discuss Budget, Millage

members will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday at the Board of Education Building to consider the approval and adoption of the and to discuss the millage.

Some budget items include layoffs for both and district employees and the elimination of public transportation.

Board members are legally bound to look at the millage each year to be sure any decline or increase in property taxes has not affected the millage.

All citizens, taxpayers and property owners in the Trenton Public Schools district are encouraged to attend the meeting and voice any concerns to board members.

The public hearing will be followed by a regularly scheduled board of education meeting at 6:30 p.m.
