Trenton School Board Members Extend Food Service Contract
District officials are required to seek bids in the 2014-2015 school year, according to new state requirements.
After sampling district cuisine, Trenton Board of Education members voted in favor of extending the district's food service contract with Chartwells.
Board members visited the high school cafeteria where they sampled several nutritional options for students last Monday.
The current contract with Chartwells allows the school district to continue using their services to provide cafeteria services through the 2013-2014 school year without seeking other bids, according to district officials.
