VIDEO: Trenton Firefighters Charity Hockey Tournament

Firefighters from Michigan, Ohio and Canada descended upon Kennedy Recreation Center to play hockey and help raise money for charity.

Mayor Gerald Brown dropped the ceremonial puck in the center of the ice at to kick off the 12th annual Wednesday morning.

The event began with men and women smiling and laughing, but once the puck dropped the smiles washed away and were replaced by the icy glare of competition.

Firefighters from Michigan, Ohio and Canada brought their puck handling skills to Trenton to compete for bragging rights.
