Trenton Voters Make Their Way to City Hall

Voting for the mayoral primary is underway.

Trenton resident Eileen Legatte showed up at City Hall with driver's license in hand Tuesday to vote for the 2011 mayoral primaries.

The polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

Voters should bring their driver's license.

North Trenton area voters should go to , area voters should go to the Knights of Columbus, 5474 W Jefferson Ave., and area voters should go to the .

Results are expected to be available at about 9:30 p.m. here on Trenton Patch.

There are running for mayor and the primary will narrow that number to two.

Incumbent Mayor Gerald Brown had that he would not run in November, unless he felt “there were not a candidate that, in my opinion, did not have the commitment or the community’s best interest in mind in their attempt to getting elected to the position.”

Brown has since decided to run for re-election and he faces two competitors in the August primary—Trenton and newcomer Steven McNeely.
