Trenton Could See 2 New Faces on School Board in 2013

The petition deadline passed at 4 p.m. today and Trenton Patch has the list of three candidates running for the Trenton Board of Education.

Trenton residents will see at least one new face on the next year.

There are two current school board members set to term limit out at the end of this year and three candidates have decided to run for those spots.

Long time board member and current vice-president Carol Oakley did not submit a petition by the 4 p.m. deadline Tuesday, which means one new face on the board is a certainty.

Current board member Wayne Sieloff has decided to run for an additional term.

Two new candidates have decided to run for school board. The candidates are David French, president of the Trenton Educational Foundation, and Sean Robert Gearhart. Gearhart is the son of Trenton City Clerk Trish Gearhart.

The three candidates will be running for two six-year terms in the November election.
