Stuff You Need to Know: July 7, 2011

1. Sunny and in the 80s. That's the weather outlook pretty much through the end of the week. We'll take it!

2. It's hot and it's 7-7-11, and that makes us think of Slurpees. Thank goodness we've got 7-Elevens on and in Trenton. Now, do we mix up flavors or not? Tough call. (Update: We're told free Slurpee day is July 11, which is Monday.)

3. Slurpee talk make us think of ice. Ice makes us think of hockey. Trenton hockey hero Andy Greene signed up for more years with the .

4. The talk of Devils make us think of hot again. We need to cool off. Just when is that up in Trenton? We checked, and Wayne County officials say they are still shooting for the end of the month. Watch Patch for updates.

5.  All that talk of hockey, swimming and Slurpees has worked up our appetites. We're looking ahead to the big weekend of eating at the (food booths, , all-you-can-eat ... yum). In the meantime, we're looking at blogger Kelly Grignon's recipes, including this awesome sounding .
