River Walk at Elizabeth Park Beginning Phase Two

Phase two of a new river walk at Elizabeth Park is set to begin at the end of May.

The already beautiful scenery at is beginning to change for the better and will continue to improve throughout the summer with phase two of a new river walk beginning at the end of May.

The river walk is located behind the Shelter Building and is slated for completion by December 2012.

The North Point Project was started this year and paid for by a grant of about $1 million acquired by Wayne County in 2010 according to Wayne County Parks Director Beverly Watts.

Phase one was completed early this month and phase two will continue along the Detroit River toward the north side of the park.

Though the highly anticipated due to high sulfur content in the ground water, before the end of the summer.

Amazing! this announcement comes now after ao many people were disgusted with the splash park fiasco. I'll believe it when I see it. How about getting some volunteer garden clubs and others to help with planting flowers and pulling weeds!
