Public Budget Hearing Coming to Trenton City Hall

Trenton City Council members approved a budget hearing that is open to the public.

Trenton City Council members approved a public hearing for the proposed 2012-13 budget at a regularly scheduled city council meeting Monday night.

The hearing is slated for 7:30 p.m. May 21 at Trenton City Hall.

"For the sake of the public, obviously many of our study sessions are not attended by the public or televised, but just to give an idea where we're at," Mayor Pro-Tem Terrence Teifer said. "We've spent the last month-and-a-half working on the budget that was prepared by administration and the council's been through all of the departments...this is probably one of the most difficult budget times I've ever been involved with particularly as a councilperson."
