News Brief: Police Contract Extended

Council members agreed to extend a contract with the Trenton Police Department.

Council members voted in favor of extending a contract with the Trenton Police Department at a special meeting Monday at Trenton City Hall.

The agreement was an extension of the current contract with Trenton Police Sergeants, Corporals and Police Officers until June 30, 2012.

Council also voted to approve the extension to the contract with the Trenton Lieutenants and Inspectors Association until June 30, 2012.

The terms and conditions regarding the agreements were discussed in closed session.

The motion carried unanimously.
