Guess Which City Boasts the Largest Fireworks Display in Michigan?
Two Trenton businesses are to thank for the largest fireworks display in the state to take place on July 4, 2013.
Of all the fireworks displays in Michigan scheduled for dusk on July 4, Trenton's is the largest, according Joann Perna, director of parks and recreation.
"This is going to be big," Perna said in a release.
Sponsors Fritz Enterprises and Huron Valley Steel are to thank for this year's Fourth of July Fireworks.
The festivities will kick off with a concert at Rotary Park featuring the Downriver Community Band.
The Trenton Lions Club and Trenton Ice Cream Shop will be selling refreshments throughout the evening.
Families are also encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic dinner, if they wish, and enjoy the concert in anticipation of the grand finale fireworks display, Perna said in the release.
