The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police responded to a report about a dog bite at about 4:40 p.m. Oct. 9 in the 2100 block of Fourth Street.

A 72-year-old woman told police her neighbor's dog had come over her fence and into her backyard and bit her on the forearm, while she was doing lawn maintenance at about 1:30 p.m, according to a Trenton police report.

The woman went to Oakwood Southshore Medical Center where she received two stitches.

The dog owner told police the adult male American Bulldog is up-to-date on vaccinations and is licensed with the City of Trenton.

I've never been bitten by a dog, but I imagine it is quite terrifying. Anyone ever been bit before? What was it like? -- NS
