Trenton Tips Lead to Rescue of Two Missing Dogs
A black smooth-coated retriever and a peach-colored poodle were reportedly seen crossing West Road and entering a Big Kmart parking lot near the intersection of West and Allen roads.
As the rain poured, a Trenton-Woodhaven animal control officer rescued two dogs that were seen crossing West Road near the intersection of West and Allen roads Monday afternoon.

The owner of a black smooth-coated retriever and a peach-colored poodle reported the dogs missing to Trenton police the same morning.

Tips provided to the Trenton Police Department by Trenton residents lead to the rescue of the two very wet dogs, according to a Trenton-Woodhaven animal control officer.
The dogs were last seen by Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch editor Nate Stemen at about 1 p.m. entering a Big Kmart parking lot.

The retriever was rescued at about 2:45 p.m. and the poodle was picked up at about 4:15 p.m.
Neither dog was injured.
The dogs are currently being reconnected with their owner.
