Trenton Residents Report Another Rash of Damaged Vehicles

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The bricks were flying for the second time in April after an unknown person broke out several vehicle windows in one night.

Five residents woke on April 28 to find their vehicles had been damaged at some time during the night and reported the incident to the .

An officer also noticed a sixth car was damaged while on patrol the same morning.

Vehicles were damaged on Detroit, Truwood, Roehrig, West Jefferson, Fourth and Boxford.

All of the incidents involved someone throwing a rock or brick through a vehicle window or against the side of a vehicle.

Police said they found a rock or a brick lying in or near the vehicle at the scene of the incident.

Deputy Police Chief Steve Voss said residents should park their vehicles in the driveway whenever possible.

"If, and when, possible we advise residents to park in their driveway and not in the street, because most of the incidents take place in the street," Voss said.

at the beginning of April and all the incidents occurred in one night as well.

Voss added detectives are currently investigating both rashes of damaged vehicles and encouraged residents to keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles.

"If they (residents) see or hear anything they should call the Trenton Police Department immediately," Voss said.
