Trenton police arrested a 37-year-old woman after officers offered her a ride and found out she had multiple outstanding warrants at about 10:50 p.m. Oct. 2.
The woman was walking in the rain on the northbound shoulder of Fort Street and was stopped by officers after she staggered slightly, according to a Trenton police report.
Police approached the woman who told them she was walking to her friends house.
Police said the woman appeared to be drunk, was slurring her words and was unsteady on her feet. Officers offered her a ride to her friends.
While in the car, an officer realized the woman had four outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. She was advised of the warrants and told she was under arrest.
The woman had a warrant out of Trenton for failure to appear in court on a charge of disturbing the peace, a warrant out of Wyandotte for failure to appear in court on a charge of disorderly conduct and two warrants out of Woodhaven for failure to appear in court on charges of disorderly conduct and littering, according to the same report.
