Trenton Police Investigating Local Businesses Suspected of Selling Synthetic Marijuana

The Trenton Police Department visited seven local businesses Wednesday night to identify which, if any, are selling synthetic marijuana products like K2 and Spice.

officers investigated seven local businesses Wednesday night to determine if they sold K2, Spice or any other synthetic marijuana products, according to Chief Jim Nardone.

Officers found that none of the seven businesses checked were selling any of the above substances.

"The Trenton Police Department continues to reach out to our local business owners to eliminate the sale and use of these dangerous products," Nardone said.

Nardone added though the department recognizes K2, Spice and other synthetic marijuana products are currently legal in Michigan, business owners of Trenton have been cooperative with the Trenton Police Department and are participating in the process.

Nardone said he did not want to reveal which s have been contacted, so far.
