Trenton Police Discover Marijuana Grow Operation, Seize 180 Plants

Trenton police executed two warrants at two houses on Fifth Street, and found more than three kilograms of harvested marijuana.

Trenton police officers discovered a marijuana grow operation at two neighboring houses in the 2900 block of Fifth Street on July 22 that ended in an arrest.

Police seized 180 marijuana plants, 3.4 kilograms of harvested marijuana, grow equipment and various records pertaining to the growth and selling of marijuana.

Police said one of the houses appeared to be where the business end of the operation was housed. There was no evidence of anyone living in the house. There were, however, several people living in the other house, according to police.

The 40-year-old man police arrested at the time of the discovery is awaiting charges. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office's drug unit is reviewing the case, police said.
