Trenton Man Returns Home to Find Boot Print in Bathtub

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police responded to a call about a break-in at about 7 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 2400 block of Middlefield Road.

A 51-year-old man told police he left his house for about a half-hour and returned to find a rear window to his house open and a dirty boot print in the bathtub below the window.

Police searched the house and found no one, according to a Trenton police report.

The man told police nothing was stolen or out of place.

Later, the man called Trenton police to say his house had not been broken into. He said his daughter didn't have a key and was responsible for opening the rear window.
