Trenton Man Reports Harassing Phone Calls

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 59-year-old Trenton man reported he received several harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at about 3:40 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Trenton Police Department.

The man told police that since August he had received about 100 "threatening and vulgar" phone calls from a former schoolmate, according to a Trenton police report.

The man said he had not been in contact with the former schoolmate for several years until he began receiving numerous calls from him.

He added that sometimes a week or two would pass without any phone calls and then the former schoolmate will call and leave numerous phone messages.

The man told police he wants the calls to stop and wants no further contact with the former schoolmate.

I'm thinking that is a long time to hold a grudge for "schoolmates", I wonder what has the caller so upset that he needs to vent about it now? It doesn't make much sense for 59 year old schoolmates to be making prank or harassing calls. Maybe the "victim" of the calls needs to apologize for whatever it is that the caller thinks is unforgivable ...IF …. he in fact, knows what it is about. It could be that the caller is unstable and is not making sense, if that is the case pray that he receives the help he needs. The word "schoolmates" is pretty vague. Does it go back to grade school, college, trade school? They are close to sixty years old! There is more to it...and without all of the facts who knows what it is all about. I do know that a big burden is lifted off of one's shoulders when an apology is given or received and "I am sorry" heals a lot of wounds, and if it is sincere, it isn’t hard to say. So, all of you Patch Readers and Patch Submitters ------if I ever offended you -----I am sincerely sorry, we are neighbors and sometimes we need to vent, but we can still agree to disagree and I still wish all of you a Happy New Year!
