Trenton Man Disturbs Burglar in His House

A Trenton man reported to police he arrived home and heard someone running down his stairs and exiting his house through a back door at about 7 p.m. Nov. 17.

The man said he then saw a white male wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt and hat turned sideways running away from his house. The man did not get a good look at the person's face, according to a Trenton police report.

When the man returned to his home he found that someone had taken a 32-inch flatscreen television, a wedding ring and a gold watch out of the upstairs bedroom, according to the same report.

The man told police numerous things in his bedroom had been strewn about and several drawers had been gone through.

Police found a broken window on the northeast corner of the house and a dirt covered brick on the floor. Officers said it appeared the brick was thrown through the window.

The stolen items were valued at $11,500.
