Trenton Man Captures Video of Christmas Display Vandals

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 61-year-old Trenton man reportedly has video of "kids" damaging and trying to steal his Christmas display at about 10 p.m. Dec. 16 in the 1900 block of Oakwood Drive, according to a Trenton police report.

The man told police his neighbor caught video, on his video camera, of two vehicles that were invloved in the incident. He added the vehicles had approximately eight "kids" in the car -- five kids in one car and three in the other, according to the same report.

The attempted theives could not steal the Christmas display because the man chained them to cement blocks and buried the blocks in the ground, the man said.

The neighbor said he was unable to make out the plates on the vehicles from the video.

Police said the man chose not to report the damaged Christmas items to his insurance. He said he would fix and re-display them instead.
