Shotgun Stolen Out of Trenton Man's Closet

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 66-year-old Trenton man reported a shotgun stolen out of his house at about 2:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of Bridge Avenue.

The man told police he left his house at about 1:40 p.m. and returned at about 2:35 p.m. to find his dog on the back porch, after having locked the dog inside the house before leaving.

Trenton police said there was a shoe print on the rear door near the door handle where it appeared someone kicked the door open. The deadbolt was not engaged, according to a Trenton police report.
