Police Blotter: Woman Reports Several Pieces of Jewelry Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 48-year-old woman reported that someone had stolen several pieces of jewelry out of her house, while she ran errands at about 11:15 a.m. May 27 in the 2900 block of St. Paul Street.

Police arrived at the woman’s house and checked to make sure there were no suspects still in the house. Police said they did not find anyone in the house.

The woman told police she left her house for about 25 minutes, and she left her doors open because “she knew she would only be gone for a few minutes.”

While she was away, she said someone entered her house through the front door and took four jewelry boxes containing multiple pieces of jewelry out of her master bedroom.

The woman described the boxes as two brown and gold Hejlsberg Diamond boxes and each contained “expensive gold necklaces.” The other boxes were a cherrywood box with one drawer and a honey wood-colored box with two drawers.

The woman said the items were too numerous to list.

Police found a diamond earring on the front porch and several items on the curb and said they appeared to be dropped by the suspect(s).

Two rings recovered were valued at more than $10,000.
