Police Blotter: Woman Reports Rental Car Keys Stolen

Woman Reports Rental Car Keys Stolen at Mr. Nick's
A woman told police that the keys to her rental car had been stolen off of a table at about 7:15 p.m. June 5 at Mr. Nick’s, 1926 West Road.
The woman said she was in town visiting and was at Mr. Nick’s between 10 p.m. June 4 and 2 a.m. June 5.

During that time the woman said she had the keys on a table and “sometime through the night someone had picked up her keys and took off,” according to a report.
Police said the keys were to a 2011 Ford Fiesta rented at Budget Rental in Romulus at Detroit Metro Airport.

The car was not stolen and was towed from the scene.
Police Retrieve Mountain Bike
Police received a report at about 8:45 a.m. June 7 regarding a bicycle that was chained to a pole near West Road and Manning Street for about a week.
An officer went to the scene and contacted the Trenton Department of Public Works to cut the cable.
The blue-and-tan, 18-speed Next Power Climber men’s mountain bike was then logged and placed into storage by the officer.
Woman's Car is Keyed Overnight
A 20-year-old woman told police someone keyed her 2003 Mercury Mountaineer between 9 p.m. June 5 and 6 a.m. June 6 in the 2700 block of Webster Street.
Police said the truck had a large scratch on the driver’s side.
