Police Blotter: Several Tools Stolen out of Pole Barn

responded to a call about a burglary at about 1 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 4900 bock of Lathrop Street.

The owner of the residence told police someone broke into the side door of his pole barn and took several construction-related items.

The items taken were a laser circular saw, a jigsaw, a tap set, a Sawzall, a vertical sander and an impact wrench with socket set.

The items were valued at more than $1,000.

Police said the side door to the barn was locked, but had been either pried open or kicked open because there was damage to the door frame.

The owner said more was missing and he would complete a full list of stolen items.
