Police Blotter: Police Arrest a Litter Bug

Police arrest a man with several warrants pending against him after he threw a paper bag out the door of his car.

Police arrested a man who threw a paper bag out the door of his car while it was moving at about 8:15 p.m. Feb. 16. The car was traveling south on West Jefferson Avenue from Sibley Road.

Police stopped the 45-year-old driver after they witnessed him throw the bag.

The man gave police his Michigan Identification Card and soon found that the man did not have a driver’s license and there were several warrants pending against him from two cities.

Police arrested the driver and transported him to Trenton Police Department for processing.

The man had four warrants out for his arrest in Detroit and one in Highland Park.

Police issued the man citations for not having a license, expired plates and not having proof of insurance. He was not cited for littering.
