Police Blotter: Man Tells Police Someone Threw Peanut Butter at Him

An 18-year-old man told police someone threw a jar of peanut butter at him as he held a sign on the side of the road at about 12:40 p.m. in front of Metro PCS on the corner of West and Newman.

The man reported the alleged incident at the .

He said he was outside working near the road when a black vehicle drove by and a male threw a jar of peanut butter at him through the open passenger window.

The man said he recognized the person who threw the peanut butter because the male had allegedly driven by the store many times, shouting obscenities at him.

He said he had ignored the shouting in the past, but stated that the peanut butter jar nearly hit him and told police the male’s name.
